Police arrested a burglar gang involved in repeated thefts from deserted and vacant houses in regions around Bhilai and other nearby villages.
The accused used reconnaissance before entering houses and stole gold, silver jewelry, anklets, lockets, cash (₹25,000–₹70,000) during various incidents in late 2025.
Arrests were made using CCTV footage and mobile location data, and buyers of stolen goods were also taken into custody.
