Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University
- Establishment: The university was established by a legislative act in 2005 and was inaugurated by then-Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on April 30, 2005.
- Recognition: It is a UGC-approved public institution. It has received accolades such as the “Emerging Technological University of the Year” award in 2011 from the World Management Congress.
- Campus: The main campus is spread across approximately 250 acres in Newai, Bhilai. The land and financial aid for its development were provided by the Bhilai Steel Plant.
- Innovations: CSVTU has implemented a digitalised evaluation system to ensure timely publication of results. It also launched the Swami Vivekanand Yuva Kaushal Setu (SVYKS) initiative for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to enhance employability.
